How do you get the default view that the user sees to be a specific city, state, etc.?

Just a quick note on this. In a update a while back viewshare changed to let users change the default zoom level. So you can now configure that in the settings for each map view. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sadly, there is currently no way to do that. You might think about thinking through what you would imagine the functionality looking like and posting it as a feature request.
Currently, Viewshare picks a spot to center your map and set it's zoom level at the closest in zoom that will allow it to fit all of your pins in it. This generally works great in cases where all your pins are clumped together, or when they are very broadly distributed. However, it sometimes results in maps that have a single outlier or two that skew the whole thing to look different than a user wants it to.
