    This is a good idea. I assume the ring coordinates would already be in the source data and it would just be a matter of typing a field as "point" or "polygon" rather than generic "location," right?

    The additional formats are supported, but we do always add a level of precision that was not int he original input. I agree this is bad. I'd go as far as to say it's a bug.
